A new partnership in Troy is helping fight crime.
The Central Alabama Crimestoppers hope a new partnership with Troy Police will help bring criminals to justice.
Crimestoppers is a non-profit that works mostly around Montgomery officials say many criminals they deal with are also hitting Troy.
Anyone can anonymously report a crime or tip about a criminal. They could be eligible for a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
"Our community is growing and unfortunately due to that crime does to. And we want our citizens to be witnesses and not victims. And we hope with crimestoppers we will give them to avenue in which to reach out, maybe sometimes when they wouldn't. And try to take some of these people and identify some of these people that are out victimizing their fellow citizens," said Lt. Bryan Weed of the Troy Police Department.
