County wants to Close Campbellton Hwy & Extend Taylor Rd.

Houston County engineers want to alleviate some of the congestion near 231 South and Campbellton Highway.

Officials want to eventually close off Campbellton Highway that runs along the side of Dobbs BBQ and Hunts restaurant.

The early plan is to extended Taylor Road from Campbellton Highway to Highway 231 South, near Field Crest apartments.

Houston county commissioners will vote on the resolution Monday (02-25).

If approved the project will be submitted to ATRIP for funding.
