Eighty-six pageant contestants modeled their national costumes for the public at a shopping mall in Moscow on Sunday (November 3), ahead of the 62nd Miss Universe Pageant.
Sporting costumes with feathery plumes and colorful elaborate headpieces, the contestants walked on stage one-by-one to the delight of mall-goers. Some shoppers even waved national flags.
Earlier in the week the contestants posed for journalists in white bikinis by a pool at a luxury estate outside of Moscow.
The famous beauty pageant, which is broadcast on Nov. 9, is being held in the Russian capital for the first time.
The contestants will compete for the Miss Universe Diamond Nexus crown in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview. The winner will be announced at the final show on Nov. 9 at the Moscow's Crocus City Hall.
Steven Tyler, Aerosmith's front man and lead singer, Chef Nobu, acclaimed chef and restaurant owner, and gold-medal-winning figure skater Tara Lipinski are some of the judges for the pageant.
