Drinking coffee may lower your risk for oral cancer, according to a study by the American Cancer Society.
Researchers found people who drank more than four cups of caffeinated coffee a day had nearly half the risk of dying from mouth or throat cancers, compared to those who only occasionally or never drank coffee.
The study's authors say more research is needed.
Although less common in the US, mouth and throat cancers are among the ten most common cancers in the world.
The study is published online in the American Journal of Epidemiology.
