City of Destin Declares State of Emergency

DESTIN, FL -- The City of Destin has declared a State of Emergency in response to flooding. City emergency personnel are currently assessing flooded areas and deploying pumps to alleviate flooded roads.

All city facilities will be closed today, April 30. Officials urge everyone to stay off the roadways.

Solid waste services (yard waste) is also suspended today.

Several roads in Destin are closed as well. The complete list of road closures is posted below:

- Main St at Coleman’s Lake
- Drifting Sands Tr
- Cobia St
- Sibert Ave near the Cemetery
