News today in the fight against cancer--A study by the American Cancer Society found that the death rate of cancer in African-American men is on the decline.

It's dropped two-point-four percent annually since 1999.

That's compared with one-point seven percent drop among white men in the same time.

Doctors say the decline is greater for black males because they started with higher rates of deaths and greater rates of preventable deaths.

Physicians credit cancer prevention education and decreased disparities in care for the drop.
