Brantley Edges Linden at South Regional Tournament

The Brantley Boys Basketball Team doesn't use a big rotation. The Bulldogs played only six players against Linden in Wednesday's 1A Regional Semifinal contest at the Dothan Civic Center.

Six players was just enough to earn one more game for Brantley, as the Bulldogs topped Linden 55-51 at the South Regional Tournament. With the win, the Bulldogs advanced to Saturday's 1A Regional Final against J.F. Shields.

It helps when one of those six players is Wesley Person. The Bulldogs top player delivered in the biggest game of the year, pouring in 31 points to spark Brantley to the win.

O.J. Guice added 10 points for Brantley, which used a ball-control offense and stingy defense to stymie the Patriots. Linden shot just 37 percent for the game.

Shauka Reese led Linden with 19 points. The Patriots end the season with a 23-3 record.
