Bomb Squad Responds to Home With 10 Grenades

MIAMI (AP) -- Miami police say they found 10 grenades in a house after responding to a complaint of a fight between neighbors.
The Miami Herald reported that officers evacuated the neighborhood along Southwest 37th Avenue during rush-hour on Monday afternoon while the police's bomb squad tried to figure out if the grenades were live or not.
Authorities removed the grenades, which were in an open drawer in the bedroom of the house, and they are being tested at a lab.
Sgt. Freddie Cruz says a man and a woman were arrested on drug and weapon charges. Their names have not been released.
He says the investigation could involve federal charges if the grenades are found to be active explosives.
