A Bay County grand jury indicted Katari Jackson on Thursday of first-degree murder.
The grand jury found that Jackson, 18, shot to death 19-year-old Christopher Purswell the night of March 1 during a robbery. Jackson also was indicted on one count of robbery with a firearm and attempted first-degree murder for shooting Brandon Junlakan in the face during the same robbery.
A panel of senior prosecutors will meet within the next few weeks to review the facts of the case and decide if it meets the statutory requirements to pursue the death sentence against Jackson.
He is scheduled for another court appearance May 15.
