Army Aims to Cut 25 Percent from its Budget

The United States Army is looking to trim its budget by 25 percent.

The Army Force Area Review Group was formed on Aug. 14. The group will look at ways to make cuts at Army Headquarter Elements at and above the two-star level.

The review is due back by Sept. 11 and will look at reductions in seven areas, including force structure, installation services and investments and cyber operations.

The recommendations can’t include further studies or assessments.
