The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling a baby monitor after the deaths of two children.

It says the "Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor with sensor pads" poses a strangulation risk.

A cord attached to the baby monitor's sensor pad is placed under crib mattresses. The commission says that wire could cause strangulation if the child pulls the cord into the crib and it becomes wrapped around his neck.

The recalled monitors were sold at several retailers from October 1999 through September of this year.

Consumers can visit angelcarebaby.com to receive a free repair kit.
