An American tourist believed to be in his 20s visiting from Los Angeles, Californian, fell one story through a glass and plasterboard wall at Surfers Paradise. Police say the incident may be an assault.
Police are still investigating and have not released information on where the man is from. Authorities plan to interview the young man to determine what happened to determine whether he was in a fight, push or fell.
Paramedics were called to the scene at the Suntower apartments on The Esplanade following reports a man was lying in a bloody mess.
The man in his 20s sustained injuries to the head and lacerations to his body. He was taken to the hospital awake and alert.
Witnesses said the man managed to tell paramedics his name was Julian and he was visiting the Gold Coast from Los Angeles.
Investigator say they are looking into whether the incident is case of assault.
