Alabama National Guard Moving Into Position to Help Local Law Enforcement with Medical Transports, Motorist Rescues


Alabama National Guard troops are in the process of staging to assist law enforcement officials help those stranded by Tuesday's snow. The icy weather itself is slowing that process, however.

Gov. Robert Bentley originally activated 200 National Guard soldiers prior to the storm that dumped snow throughout central Alabama, leaving motorists stranded on roads and students stuck in school.
