MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- Several festivals planned across Alabama
for Labor Day weekend will focus on food.
The Alabama Tourism Department says the St. William Seafood Festival will be held in Guntersville on Sept. 3. Luverne plans to cook more than 17 tons of peanuts for the World Largest Peanut Boil on Sept. 2-5.
Pinson celebrates the Alabama Butterbean Festival on Sept. 2-3. Crane Hill will hold the Sweet Tater Festival on Sept. 4-5. The Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park in McCalla will have a Moon Pie eating contest at its Labor Day event on Sept. 5.
