Ala. Woman Charged With Attempted Murder

ROGERSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Rogersville police say events Sunday afternoon that led to two women being hit by a car resulted from an argument over who was going to pay for children's softball pictures.

Authorities said 43-year-old Malana White is charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of reckless endangerment.

She is accused of striking 53-year-old Mona Tucker and her daughter, 30-year-old Christy Tucker with her car. Mona Tucker was flown to Huntsville Hospital, where she was listed in fair condition in the facility's surgical intensive care unit.

White was released from the Lauderdale County Jail on $101,000 bail.

A phone listing for her could not be located, and it wasn't known Tuesday whether she has an attorney.
