MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- The Alabama Democratic party chairman says he plans to resign.
Mark Kennedy on Friday announced his intention in a letter to members of the State Democratic Executive Committee of Alabama. He said his resignation would be effective at noon on Monday.
Kennedy said in the letter that after much consideration, he and his family have determined "that it is time to move on."
