Police have arrested the founding dean of the up and coming Alabama college of osteopathic medicine in Dothan.

Dr. Craig Lenz was arrested for driving under the influence in Mexico Beach Sunday morning.

Police aren't releasing any additional information at this time.

The medical college is expected to help fill the state's shortage of an estimated 400 primary care physicians.

And more than 150 students are expected to enroll in the fall of 2013.
