Competition in the 2014 Paralympic games in Sochi continued on Wednesday.

We start with some cross-country skiing, the sitting division of the Women's 1 kilometer sprint, and the US added to its medal count as Tatyana McFadden came in 2nd for the silver, just a tenth of a second behind the skier from Norway. Oksana Masters also placed 4th for Team USA.

And, team USA had more great success on Wednesday, scoring not one but two wins in Wheelchair Curling. First, they defeated China in a 10-2 blowout, followed by a very solid 8-3 win over Sweden. With one more game ahead in preliminary play, team USA could still potentially reach the playoff round.

Looking at the medal count, Russia remains dominant at the top of the leader board with a staggering 47 medals so far, followed by Ukraine in second with fourteen. The US and Canada are tied for third overall, with nine medals a piece, so far.
