Monday, a Dothan woman who confessed to killing her boyfriend met with a judge via closed circuit television.
Police say Laurie Copelin has already admitted to fatally stabbing 42-year-old Jerome Reeves at a Dothan motel this weekend.
If convicted of murder; her sentence could range anywhere from 10 years to life in prison.
Copelin made her first appearance in the court of Judge Brad Mendheim.
Jerome Reeves of Headland was found lying outside a motel room Saturday morning.
He was later pronounced dead at a Dothan hospital.
Copelin's bond has been set at $75,000.
Judge Mendheim appointed Valerie Judah to serve as Copelin's attorney.
