Jackson County voters will have new machines to cast ballots when they go to the polls for next week's primary.
The computerized machines will fit in a suitcase and were tested on Thursday.
Officials say the machines will help speed up the balloting process and with telephone hook-ups from polling locations; votes can also be counted almost instantly.
The new machines are part of a statewide effort to eliminate voting problems in Florida that delayed a final count in the last presidential election by more than a month.
