Helicopter Pilots Strike

Members of the Professional Helicopter Pilots Association have voted to reject their current contract with Lear-Sickler Services at Fort Rucker.

Ninety-percent of the membership were at Thursday's meeting in Daleville, and all of those present voted to reject the contract.

Ninty-eight-percent of them voted to authorize a strike by their union. But, officials hope to be back at the bargaining table next week.

Members of the pilot's association are responsible for primary instrument and combat skills training.

The pilot association's contract with LSI expires at the end of the year.
