Dothan Man Charged with Possession of Forged Instrument

A Dothan man is behind bars for trying to pass off fake money as the real thing.

29 year-old Mmattias Jackson is charged with 3 counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Authorities say he tried to use counterfeit money at the Dothan driver’s license office.

The Alabama Bureau of Investigation also found that Jackson tried to use fake 50 and 100 dollar bills in Houston and Dale counties.

The ABI recommends that anyone who has received money from Jackson, to take it to your local bank to verify its authenticity.
