Airman Accused of Selling Military Gear on eBay

PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - A Hurlburt Field airman has pleaded not guilty to allegations that he sold stolen military gear on the online auction site eBay.

Federal prosecutors say Air Force Sergeant Leonard Allen Schenk also tried to hire an undercover agent to kill a witness who agreed to testify against him in the case.

Schenk allegedly stole night-vision goggles, global positioning equipment, flight helmets and vests, among other military property.

Authorities say his mother would usually then handle the billing and shipping duties. They set up an eBay account under a different name.

Schenk's trial is set for October first.
