Opening Arguments Begin in Davis's Trial

Opening arguments were heard Monday in Dothan for the murder trial of a Geneva County man.

22-year-old Seth Davis of Slocomb is charged with the shooting death of a Dothan man.

Hollis Salinas, 28, was last seen alive in April of 2004.

Investigators say someone tried to set fire to his apartment the night he disappeared.

The victim's bullet-riddled body was found floating in the little Choctawhatchee River in Dale County more than two weeks later.

Davis was arrested several months later.

Prosecutors say they have DNA tests that prove Hollis's blood was found in the trunk of the defendant's car.

Testimony in the case continues Tuesday.
