Couple Arrested For Child Sexual Abuse

Headland police have made two arrests in relation to a child sexual abuse case.

25-year-old Jason Allan Peters is accused of raping and sexually torturing a 10-year-old child.

Headland Police Chief Mark Jones said Peters was arrested on three counts of rape and one counts of sexual torture.

His wife 39-year-old Regina Jones is charged with aggravated child abuse for not telling police the abuse was happening.

Peters was arrested in Houston County in 2005 and charged with sexually abusing the same 10 year old girl. He's been out of jail, waiting to go to trial for two years.

Police say after Peters was arrested the first time, the court told Regina Jones it was her responsibility to keep peters away from the young girl.

Investigators say instead of doing that Regina Jones allowed him back into the family home against the court's order

The 10-year-old child was also living with two siblings when the abuse allegedly happened.

All of the children have now been turned over to the Department Of Human Resources until the case is resolved.

Jason peters is being held in the Henry County Jail on a 600-thousand dollar bond.

Bond for Regina Jones was set at 5-thousand dollars.

She has paid her bond and was released from the Henry County jail.

You got to be kidding me. This lady allows the same man to sexually and repeatedly abuse her child once again. Since she just haas to be with him, her and him should rot in prison together.

Thank you Henry County Authorities. However, I think the mother should be held just accountable as the man. She should have stayed away as instructed. I do not understand why Houston County never pursued the case. If this had been one of their own children I'm sure they would have been on TOP of it. I pray that this man never sees daylight again, and think the mother should receive the same. I am praying daily for the safekeeping of these children and hope they never have to face him or the mom again. I hope the Henry County system works for the child and he is forever forgotten, as it seems the Houston County system failed did not work for the child. God Bless You Little Girl.

The Department of Human Resources is not about protecting children. I know from reading and watching for many years how they handle cases. Many years ago I tried to protect my 2-year old niece who was being terribly abused by her mother and the boyfriend who was not the father. DHR did nothing. The social worker is well known for lying in court to protect the abuser. Also, I would like to know who the judge is so I give this story to Bill O'Reilly and Oprah Winfrey.

The mother is as guilty, if not more, as he is. She knew this was going on and let the scum move back in and subjected her innocent kids to a life of, well you know the rest. They should both be held without bond and those kids should never be able to be with their mother again. I do not even know that supervised visits should be allowed. Please pray for the children and that one day they may have a normal life again.

I think anyone who can subject there own child to this behavior should not have any bond and should be locked away and the key lost forever
