Prosecutors in the Kobe Bryant sexual assault case are asking for an indefinite delay in his sexual assault trial.

They're saying recent developments in the case have affected the woman who is accusing the NBA player.

Prosecutors also say the release of closed-door testimony was "extremely harmful" to their chances of getting a fair jury.

The motion was filed Tuesday and made public Wednesday.

The prosecution's motion comes after Bryant's accuser filed a civil lawsuit against the basketball player yesterday seeking monetary damages.

Jury selection is scheduled to start Aug. 27.
