A Wiregrass program aimed at providing job training for area girls is getting some funding help from the state.
Governor Bob Riley has awarded Girls, Incorporated of Dothan nearly $60,000.
The organization sponsors a program that provides teens 14 to 19 in Coffee, Dale, Geneva, Henry and Houston Counties career development help, workplace experience, and skills training.
Organizers say they learn how to set goals, handle responsibility, and get on the path to a successful career.
The grant comes from US Department of Labor Funds.
