You will have to wait until next year to shop at one local farmer's market.

Saturday was the last day of Houston County's "buy fresh buy local" farmer's market. At some times throughout the season nearly 20 producers could be found at the farmer's market located at the Houston County Farm Center.

One customer told News 4 she just learned about the market and is sad to see it come to an end.

"I just found out about and I just came and got my produce. Now they’re closing and it's like, man, why? I got to go back to the store now, oh well, I'll know for next year," says Crystal Nelson, a shopper at the Houston County Farmer’s Market.

One local producer said he saw no effect on his crop from the drought earlier in the season, only a larger irrigation bill.
