COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) - Carlton Gary, convicted in the Columbus
Stocking Strangler case, is due for a court hearing on the issue of
DNA evidence.

Gary will be brought to Columbus on Tuesday from Georgias death-row prison.

The hearing will be before Superior Court Judge Frank Jordan Jr.

It's the third hearing on DNA testing to be scheduled since the Georgia Supreme Court stayed Gary's execution on Dec. 16 and ordered a judge to consider the DNA tests.

Gary was convicted in 1986 in the stranglings of three women in
the 1970s.

Gary's lawyers say it appears Gary may no longer agree with a
consent order reached last month to conduct DNA tests.

Gary's wife says the Gary family believes a hearing should be
conducted to determine how the evidence is handled.
