Candlelight Vigil will Honor Teens Killed

A candlelight vigil will be held Tuesday night in remembrance of two Dothan teenagers who were brutally murdered 8 years ago in Ozark.

That's because the killer of JB Beasley and Tracie Hawlett has never been found.

On August 1st, 1999, the two Northview High School seniors were found shot to death in the trunk of Beasley’s car.

The car was left abandoned near the intersection of Herring and James Streets near the Dale Medical Center in Ozark.

Police say Hawlett and Beasley were apparently trying to return to Dothan after going to a field party in Headland, but got lost in Ozark.

Friends and family will hold a candle light vigil at 8 p.m. Tuesday night on Herring Street in Ozark where the girls' car was found.

The case has drawn the attention of psychic investigators with a national cable television network.

Court TV’s Haunting Evidence program will examine the murders of JB and Tracie on August 15th at 9 p.m.
