OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) - Police have charged five juveniles who spray-painted obscenities on walls at Opelika High School.
Opelika Police Captain Allan Elkins said the incident that occurred between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 5:30 a.m Thursday. He said they range in age between 15 and 17.
Elkins said graffiti lined walls at the school's Science building, green houses, baseball dugout, batting cages and sidewalks.
The school's main entrance and two school trucks were also vandalized with graffiti.
Elkins said property damage totaled almost $5 thousand. Each juvenile face a felony charge of first-degree criminal mischief.
