Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd Runs for Reelection
It is official: Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd announced he will run for reelection this year.

It is official: Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd announced he will run for reelection this year.
Byrd has been coroner of Houston County since 1987.
He received his degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and is a member of the Alabama Coroners Association.
Byrd says aside from experience and working relationship with area officials, he is the best man for the job because he is used to working with the financial budget.
"Financial responsibilities for the Houston County taxpayers are important. They have a right to know and run this office in a way that is financially responsible and I will continue to do that" said Byrd
So far, Byrd is the first person to announce his interest in the Houston County Coroner's seat.
