DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - A well-known Dothan physician was killed in a weekend traffic accident.
Police said 41-year-old Steve Sherrer died when a vintage 1929 Ford Coup he was driving crashed into a utility pole on Fortner Street.
The wreck occurred around midnight Saturday.
Police said Sherrer was traveling at low speeds when he crashed and was thrown head-first into the windshield. The vintage vehicle was not equipped with seat belts.
The Enterprise native was a graduate of the University of South Alabama Medical Center. Sheerer had practiced medicine in Dothan
for more than 12 years.
