The Houston County Commission will vote on Monday whether to add more roads to the dirt road paving list.
The additions would allow smaller road construction projects to be completed while more complicated roadways receive further analysis.
Right now, the roads left on the list are challenging, meaning they need right of ways and are difficult for utility trucks and cable workers to travel.
Houston Co. Commission Chairman Mark Culver said, “Residents on the road will know the road will be paved and it’s not a quick process, but you should see work not this summer, but in the next few years.”
Maintaining and paving roadways is the sole responsibility of county commissioners.
