Rumors have been flying all week concerning a suspected raid on Country Crossing by Alabama Governor Bob Riley's Task Force on Illegal Gambling. It's being compared to the raid on the White Hall Gaming and Entertainment Facility.
Judge McGlauglin signed a restraining order on behalf of Country Crossing against David Barber and the fellow members of his task force. Now the task force cannot legally cross Country Crossing ground.
Houston County Commission Chairman, Mark Culver, met the press at about 3:30 this morning and held an improptu press conference.
Representatives from Country Crossing did not have a formal address prepared this morning. They plan to talk to the public later today.
Country Crossing's communications director, Doug Rainer, said the facility will re-open. However, they have not determined a specific time.
News 4 will continue to cover this developing story.
