Some voters in Dothan will go to a new polling place to cast their ballots in next month's city election.
City Commissioners voted to lease space on the lower level at the rear of Northside Mall for 200 dollars.
The site will be used to relocate the District 6 polling place at Girard Middle School.
Mayor Pat Thomas says polling places at three other schools in Dothan will also have to be moved because a change in the law extends the run-off period for the election until after school starts.
Dothan Polling Places:
District 2A Civic Center (Room C)
District 2B Wiregrass Rec Center
District 4A Lakewood Fire Station
District 4B Doug Tew Rec Center
District 6A Vaughn-Blumberg Center
District 6B Northside Mall (lower Level)]
The Dothan city election is set for July 10th.
You can call City Clerk Pam McCoy for more information or maybe you'd like to sign-up and help out.
McCoy says she still needs two more poll workers for the Vaughn-Blumberg Center on election day.
