Holmes County Development

State Senator Durrell Peadon and Rep. Don Brown brought home the bacon.

They presented a $50,000 check to the Holmes County Commission. The money will be used to build a three-acre recreation park in the Smith Crossroads Community.

It's located about two miles from the Alabama line. The appropriation is from the Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program.

Similiar state grant monies are being used in Holmes County to build parks at Dogwood Lakes and the Wrights Creek Communities.
