Ala. Woman Killed in Car Wreck on I-20

WAVERLY, La. (AP) - An Alabama woman was killed and two Louisiana men injured in a crash on Interstate 20 in Madison Parish, Louisiana.

State police say a car driven by 30-year-old Amanda Watson of Cottondale crossed the median for unknown reasons Sunday and struck a pickup head on.

The driver of the truck, 53-year-old David Haney of West Monroe, and his passenger, 38-yeaer-old Russell McDanell of Eros, were taken to Saint Francis Medical Center in Monroe for moderate injuries.

The accident happened on I-20 near Waverly.

Troopers say Watson was pronounced dead at the scene, and a oen-year-old boy who was a passenger in Watson's car is listed in serious condition at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport.
