DAV Convention in Dothan

Hundreds of veterans from across the state are in Dothan for a convention.

The Disabled American Veterans are holding a four day seminar at the Holiday Inn south.

Members will elect and install new officers and come up with resolutions to introduce to the national convention which will be held in New Orleans in August.

The national commander says one of their main goals is to service younger veterans who've fought the war on terror.

There are more than 24-million veterans across the nation; most are from the Vietnam era.
