Oil Steady, Gas Pump Price Down

UNDATED (AP) - Crude oil prices are holding onto gains Friday after a government report showed an unexpected decline in crude oil stockpiles. Gasoline prices at the pump are easing slightly.

Light, sweet crude for July delivery gained five cents to 64 dollars, six cents a barrel in overseas electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Gasoline production has rebounded in recent weeks, but some analysts are concerned that supplies still haven't risen enough. Analysts are split, with some speculating that prices might head higher, while others think prices have peaked.

AAA says the national average for regular unleaded gasoline is at three dollars, 18 cents a gallon.

In Alabama, the auto club reports the average price for regular is 3.03
a gallon. Midgrade fuels are 3.24 and premium costs 3.39 a gallon.
