One of the southeast Alabama’s largest industries will be shutting down later this year.
Sources say officials at the West Point Home plant in Abbeville told employees Tuesday morning that the plant would be closed within a few months.
The plant currently employs about 800 workers.
Corporate officials in New York City have promised to release more information later Tuesday.
