One Killed, Three Injured as Truck Flipped Several Times

Officials in Barbour County say one teen dead and three others injured after a wreck Tuesday morning.

They say the teens were in a 1996 Ford truck that flipped several times.

The wreck happened about 8:45 Tuesday morning on Highway 431 in Barbour County about 10 miles north of Abbeville.

17-year-old passenger Whitley McMahan of Phenix City later died at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

The driver, 18-year-old Joshua Sspurin of Columbus and remaining passengers Chance Terrell and Alysia O'neal, both 18-years-old and from Smiths were transported to area hospitals with injuries.

The wreck remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
