As part of national tourism week, visitors are getting the red carpet treatment at the Florida Welcome Center on Highway 231 south.
Various cities have set-up tables and booths promoting their communities.
Panama City Beach visitors and conventions bureau is one of them.
“They have the opportunity to use our lobby and meet the visitors driving into Florida. It’s worth it in a day's work," said Paulette Anderson of Florida Welcome Center.
Tourism is Florida’s number-one industry.
The tax revenue supports state education, healthcare and social services statewide.
