No New Trial for Moore

A Dothan man found guilty of murder was denied a new trial.

31 year old Zephaniah Moore was found guilty of gunning down 51 year old Travis Stringer outside his mother's home on Lake Street in December of 2005.

Police say Moore and Stringer had an on-going disagreement.

Moore's lawyers claimed the eyewitness was under the influence at the time of her statement that was used in Moore's trial.

Judge Larry Anderson denied the request for a new trial and read the eyewitness's statement in court.

Judge Anderson scheduled Moore to be sentenced for the murder on June 8th.

While I agree on the denial for probation or bond on murder charges; if the public sat in on Judge Anderson's cases they would all see how many "real" innocent people are never given a chance. He arrests many and denies several. I challenge the public to visit the courtroom at different times and listen in on the cases...and the verdict's. I wish a court of higher authority would do the same.
