Early Morning Fire Engulfs Dothan Home

A Dothan family will have to look for another place to live, after a fire destroyed their home Tuesday morning.

Dothan fire crews responded to a house fire about 8:30 Tuesday morning.

Upon arrival, fire officials saw the front half of the home engulfed in flames.

No one was in the home at the time of the fire, but officials say at least two people are residents there.

Dothan Fire Department Cpt. Chris Etheredge said, “There was heavy fire involvement when we got here, which indicative of no one is being home and reporting it immediately. So, the fire had time to build somewhat before the neighbor or passersby saw the fire and called 911.”

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
