Chipley Bomb Threat Arrest

A Washington County man has been arrested for making a false bomb threat.

67 year old Carvil Howard Perdue is accused of phoning in a bomb threat at the regions bank in Chipley Wednesday afternoon.

The bank was evacuated and nothing was found.

Sheriff Bobby Haddock says an investigation led officers to Perdue less than two hours after the call was placed.

Perdue faces up to 15 years in prison if he's convicted.

I have lived around Mr. Perdue for several years and I have known him to threaten and try to carry out his threats. He needs to stay in jail.
