Some local law enforcement agencies are working to improve its search and rescue techniques.
13 deputies and officers from Florida and Alabama are meeting in Ozark this week for Project Lifesaver International.
This project is training for searching for missing people with mental diseases, such as Alzheimer’s.
The three-courses include an electronic search specialized course, an air tracking course and an instructors course, so the deputies and officers can take what they've learned back to their agencies.
Project Lifesaver International covers 41 states and over 550 agencies.
