Forensic Science for High School Students

Rehobeth High School students got a lesson from the pro's Monday on crime scene investigations.

Forensics specialists with the Houston County Sheriff's department spoke to the students about their first-hand experiences.

The investigators say the students they speak to are often very knowledgeable and interested in criminology.

"It's always a pleasure to come into the schools because our young people are our future and when young people show interest in law enforcement, one day it may help us out," said Investigator Bill Rafferty of Houston County Sheriff's Department.

Investigators say this is a stepping stone for students who may be considering a forensics career in the future.
