BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Former President Bill Clinton returns to Alabama this evening. He will be the keynote speaker at Friday night's Jefferson-Jackson Celebration on behalf of the Alabama Democratic Party.
Clinton will speak at the Cahaba Grand Conference Center in Birmingham.
Party officials say the event is a sell-out.
State Democrats say the fundraiser should net about 250,000, which will be used to operate the party as it prepares for the 2008 elections.
Clinton was in Alabama on March 4th to be inducted into the National Voting Rights Hall of Fame in Selma and to commemorate the Selma-to-Montgomery voting rights march of 1965.
