It's something we've been talking about for about a year here in Dothan but for those involved in the process early on....they say they've been working for a decade to bring Publix to the circle city.
Dothan, AL- Today at the cottonwood corners site local leaders and chamber of commerce representatives were on hand for the city's biggest groundbreaking since the Dothan pavilion in 2007.
Aranov is the developer for this Publix development across from the Houston County farm center and another development called "Westway" off John D. Odom road.
Publix southeast spokesperson Dwaine Stevens said the chain had its eyes on Dothan for a long time. and they'll be a big part of things here in Dothan in the future with three stores open by 2011.
Fall 2010 is still the frame of reference we're looking at here for the doors opening for this site, but they hope to have a vertical structure for folks to see by the end of January
